Job description
Wagenborg is looking for experienced Engineers with Advanced Gas Tanker Qualifications and willing to acquire a full DP license. We are hiring for both Chief Engineers and Second Engineers to join in on this Unique project.
Wagenborg Offshore has signed a long-term agreement for the construction and deployment of a CO2 Carrier (CO2C) with Dynamic Positioning (DP) equipment in the North Sea. This vessel will become a key player, and pioneer, in the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) value chain at offshore locations. This carrier vessel transports liquified CO2 from capture sites ashore to designated storage locations offshore. The vessel’s DP system ensures precise manoeuvrability and enables safe and efficient operations, allowing for secure and efficient CO2 injection into deep geological formations. This technology is a crucial part of global efforts to reduce carbon emissions and mitigating climate change.
We are looking for highly skilled and experienced Engineers to join in on this challenging project. As an Engineer you will hold the overall responsibility for all Technical Systems on board. Together with your Engine Room team you ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant technical operation of CCS activities, as well as daily maintenance. You will collaborate closely with the Master, Superintendent, and other officers in order to keep the vessel in optimal operational condition.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in the maritime industry and holds extensive proven experience as an Engineer on a Gas tanker and/or Gas carrier vessels. In this position you will also manage the technical Dynamic Positioning operations during CO2 Loading and unloading operations. Experience with handling DP systems is highly preferred but not crucial as we are willing and able to facilitate the needs to train you in this discipline.

Competitive Salary (salary range based on all-in monthly wages)
